From the Studio:
We are delighted to welcome Carlos Rodríguez back into our studio with the production of three new serigraph prints. We pushed the process further than our past collaborations, resulting in editions that are rich in both color and spirit. Joyful figures enjoy luscious fruits, relishing in the company of each other and their animal friends.
Artist Bio:
Carlos Rodriguez ( b. 1980, Mexico) is a Mexico City, based artist. Initially trained in graphic design at the Universidad de San Luis Potosi, he began his career in advertising as an Illustrator and art director before transitioning into a full time artistic practice. Exploring the realms of desire, gender, and identity, Rodriguez employs drawings, paintings, and ceramics that pay homage to the male form. Drawing on references from classical sculpture, 20th century painting, naïve art, and queer visual culture , his figures inhabit playful and often fantastic environments. His compositions evoke a sense of curiosity and freedom, presenting the body as a site of exploration shaped by imagination and emotional experience.
