Interactive Artist Ty Bowman's Arduino Self Portrait

In Blog

Ty Bowman develops interactive art mostly on the Android platform. In the early stages some resemble modern psychedelic versions of those classic screen savers we all remember from the early days of personal computers. This self portrait was taken as a still from some video captured through a webcam. The camera is fed live through a program Ty wrote to alter the video based on a set of dynamic parameters. The actual console that generated these videos uses knobs that each change an aspect of the image, maybe the color, the line halftone size or angle, each distorts the image in one way or another.

The two photos here show Ty signing each color way, one black on yellow and one black on a three color split fountain.
